Since its founding in its current structure, the firm has participated in the main judicial and extrajudicial disputes in Brazil, including corporate disputes involving banks, companies in the energy, oil and gas, construction, real estate, retail and other sectors.

The firm’s extensive experience in dispute resolution has allowed it to develop a highly individualized and combative approach, through a practice that aims to produce results in the best interest of the client.

Business Recovery & Bankruptcy

Recognized experience in the largest and most complex judicial and extrajudicial recoveries of the last decade. Representing creditors and debtors, the firm works on developing plans and strategies for corporate recovery and recovery of credits held against companies in crisis. The partners have extensive expertise in litigation involving companies in crisis, representing debtors in the energy, shipbuilding, construction, retail and other sectors.

The firm also has a prominent role in representing creditors, including financial institutions and important market players.

Business Law

Galdino advises clients in corporate litigation in the judicial and administrative spheres, in addition to acting in domestic and international arbitrations involving relationships between shareholders, directors and companies from various sectors.

The firm also represents clients in administrative proceedings instituted before the Securities and Exchange Commission, including acting in the negotiation and mediation phases aimed at preventing litigation.

Arbitration, Negotiation & Mediation

Extensive experience in national and international arbitrations, representing clients in complex disputes involving various sectors of the economy, including banks, companies in the energy, oil and gas, construction, telecommunications, real estate, retail and others, as well as in corporate disputes involving publicly-held companies and their shareholders. The firm acts before several chambers in Brazil and abroad, such as The London Court of International Arbitration – LCIA, International Chamber of Commerce – ICC, FGV Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration, São Paulo Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration – FIESP, Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration – CBMA, Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce – CCBC, Market Arbitration Chamber – CAM, among others.

The firm’s activities also involve urgent requests submitted to supporting arbitrators and the representation of the client before the Judiciary in measures aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the arbitration procedure and the enforcement of arbitration awards.

Several partners with experience in arbitration also act as arbitrators and mediators. We also have partners specialized in negotiation and in the development of alternative methods for dispute resolution, in order to resolve disputes outside the courts of justice, in a private, fast, technical and confidential.

Banking Law & Capital Markets

The firm acts as legal advisor to financial institutions, intermediary agents and borrowers/issuers in transactions in the areas of banking law and capital markets, including syndicated loans, issuance of securities and securitization of receivables.

Administrative & Regulatory Law

The firm represents the interests of clients before regulatory agencies, the CVM and other government entities, acting in administrative proceedings and providing consultancy in Administrative Law and Regulatory Law in the telecommunications, transportation, capital markets, oil and gas and other sectors.

Succession & Asset Planning

Succession planning allows the organization of family assets, anticipating the form of transfer of assets to heirs and determining, while still alive, how the assets will be divided.

Among the advantages of using this legal tool, we can highlight the reduction of the tax burden on the estate, in addition to the reduction of the problems inherent to hereditary succession, such as the delay in the inventory procedure.

Family Law

The firm has a team highly specialized in family and succession law, acting in the judicial and extrajudicial spheres, including using mediation and conciliation methods in the settlement of family disputes.

The firm represents clients in probate and estate division proceedings, divorces, lawsuits involving minors, and also works on the settlement of assets involved in complex estate divisions. The partners’ accumulated experience allows them to use technical knowledge to achieve the best result, acting in a preventive and individualized manner.
